Swords
Debut Single Out Now!

JENNI ALBUM.png

My debut single, Swords, is now available on all major streaming channels!

This track marks a selection of firsts in my career. This is my first venture as a solo artist, and the first time using my voice. The project is the result of my first solo Arts Council England funding, and has been made on my first set of studio equipment.

This track launches my campaign #Womenmakeit

I have pledged to collaborate only with women and gender non-conforming artists in my solo work. Read more here.

The video was made in my neighbourhood, with the kind support of my neighbours lending their houses, gardens and patios as a stage for fantastic dancer Betsy, who also lives on the same street. The video was inspired by the collaborative film made in my community about lockdown, A Window In Time.

Meet The Artists

Meet some of the wonderful women that I have worked with. This list will grow as I feature and celebrate my collaborators.

Siobhan Clough

Siobhan Clough is a classically trained violinist from South Wales, working with orchestras and chamber group nationally. She is the Assistant Music Director of the Paraorchestra, and is a member of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s Resound ensemble. Siobhan recorded the violin parts on Swords: “I loved the depth, colour and collaborative ways of musically responding.”

Sioda Adams

Sioda is an artist working with a mix of disciplines. Her formal training was in dance at NSCD and she went on to work with the likes of Motionhouse, Ace Dance & Music and 2Faced dance. She worked as a collaborator, movement director and rehearsal director before launching her own company Earth-bound.

She has developed her skills in theatre, comedy and film making through CPD courses at The Actors Space, BCN and National Film & TV School, with funding from Dancers’ Careers Development Service and BFI. Sioda is currently in a phase of transition to reframe her practice as a theatre and film director. “All of my work begins with a piece of writing, either a script or a poem and then I take the words to find different forms of communication through movement and sound.”  Her series of films ‘Give Me A minute’ were shot at her home and in the rural area where she lives in Warwickshire, during the pandemic. They are a window into the mind and heart of an introverted woman and mother, surviving the noise of the world.
